Eiyu Densetsu Zero no Kiseki

As I have said previously, I will post the second chapter of the game Legend of Heroes: Trails in the sky. Well... I apologize but I won't be able to post the second chapter of the game just yet since it's in Japanese and I can't understand the story. Also due to a certain reason I was not able to buy the game and try it for my self. On the bright side I have a replacement for that review which is its new chapter Eiyu Densetsu Zero no Kiseki.

This is the seventh series in the Eiyu Densetsu trilogy. The setting of the game took place in Crossbell City that is located in the northeast of the Erebonian Empire in the Liberl Kingdom. The place looks more "high-tech" than the ones form the Sora no Kiseki (Trails in The Sky) version as there are cars, trains and buses. More to that, this game also have police department, casino, and strip club. The buildings and the clothes of the NPC looks like it is from the 1960s and a bit of mixed with china town.

The game begins with these four main characters from the C.P.D (Crossbell Police Department). They are in a mission, which what I think is the final mission of the game, and then flashback. Then the gameplay begins after the introduction of each characters.

Llyod Bannings, the leader of the group named Special Support Section (SSS). He is 18 years old, a rookie C.P.D investigator. He joins the police force to investigate the death of his brother, a former Crossbell detective three years ago before Llyod joins the force. He is charismatic, strong and kind. As for his weapon is his dual tonfa.

Elie MacDowell, the daughter of Crossbell mayor and also a politician. She is 18 years old and the reason she joined the police force is because she cannot affect anything as a politician because they are restricted by various outside influences. She is then assign in SSS under Llyod and her main weapon is her orbal gun.

Tio Plato, the youngest in the team. She is 14 years old. Tio is employed by the 'Epstein Foundation', a company known as the continent's leading power in orbal technology. She was sent to Crossbell to test out the prototype orbal staff developed by the foundation and was assigned to the SSS as one of Lloyd's teammates. Tio is a very considerate person even dough she seems cool and distant. Her weapon is the prototype orbal staff that could transform into an orbal canon when she uses her ultimate skill.

Randy Orlando, the oldest member in the team. He is 21 years old and he plays like the old brother for Lloyd and the team. He was formerly a part of the Crossbell State Guardian Force (CSGF), but was discharged because he went berserk with the commander-in-chief. He was recommended to become a part of the newly formed Special Support Section of the Crossbell police. He fights with his giant axe and the most brutal ones between the other three.

Also there are a surprise to this game. Three returning characters from the Sora no Kiseki chapter. Joshua and Estelle Bright with a new character that they met in the second chapter of Sora no Kiseki, Renne.

All four members using their joint S-Craft (Special Skill)

If I compare Zero no Kiseki with Sora no Kiseki, Zero no kiseki have taken the battle scenes into the next level. Their S-Craft gets brutal and brutal as the story progresses. But the story are similar. They travel around Crossbell City, completing quests and missions.

Battle gameplay

The fights are all similar to the previous trilogies, but they made it look more complex making the options moving in a circular motions. But all of the options are just the same "Attack, Magic, Item, S-Craft, Flee and Special moves".

The game came in two chapter for now. Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki. All of these game have not been translated into English yet, so it would be really difficult to play this game without a walkthrough and I think that is all of the down side of this game.

The developer of the game now have created Eiyu Densetsu Zero no Kiseki Evolution, which I think is just the same as the original one except they improved in the opening animation and some soundtracks. They also added some mini games into the game. Zero no Kiseki is played in PSP console and the Evolution version is played in PSVita. I have seen both opening trailers but I have made a conclusion that Zero no Kiseki Evolution have the most awesome opening animation in the Legend of Heroes trilogy ever. Another great game from Falcom and Xseed industries and I am really looking forward until the game is translated into English. This video is posted by SuperInsanegaming in youtube.
