Vividred Operation

This anime might just be the most unique magical girl anime that I have ever seen.

 

Plot:

The story takes place in the future where the world is very peaceful thanks to a certain invention called the Manifestation Engine (or in the anime they called it 示現エンジン Jigen Enjin). This engine creates energy from the sky and helped to prevent an energy crisis five years prior. Our main character, Akane Isshiki, lives a peaceful live with her family in the island of Izu Oshima. One day the world was threatened by an alien force called the Alone (or アローン Arōn{not the pokemon!}). Akane was given a special key that was invented by her grandfather, Kenjirou, who is then transformed into a small animal that I couldn't remember due to some accident.

The key grants Akane access into the Vivid system and don the Pallet Suits which gives her super abilities. Akane joined with her friends - Aoi, Wakaba and Himawari - fights the Alone to save the world.

I have to say that this anime is a little bit ecchi. Okay maybe a lot than I expected. The animation is great and the plot is okay. Although its kinda short if I have to say and the way progression of the story is a lil bit too fast. In my opinion I didn't get the bonding feeling with the characters since the actual story went really quick. But in overall its entertaining. The jokes and the laughs are great and totally unexpected and the ending of the story is a bit of a bummer.

It have 12 episodes and have finished airing. For people who haven't watch this anime I say you can give it a try but if you don't want to then its alright. Its not a must watch anime but you could still enjoy watching it while killing some time. It was aired from January 11, 2013 until March 29, 2013. Although the anime have stopped, their manga is still ongoing and currently there is two Vividred Operation games that have been launched. (Vividred Operation: Akane to Mayo-tto Operation! & Vividred Operation: Hyper Intimate Power). Both games are developed by Banpresto and published by Namco Bandai Games and both games used the same platform which is PlayStation Network. In conclusion this anime is a 2.5/5.
