Stratos 4

When I heard a song titled '1st Priority' the other day, the idea just came up to me as I say "I must review this anime". This anime is quite old but the drawing and animation is just awesome. Stratos 4, it is one of my favorite anime that I watched when I was in elementary school. So it could be possible 7 years ago or so.

The story begins as follow, the scientists learn that a group of comets will enter the Solar System on a collision course with Earth. The United Nations set up a two-tiered global defense system against the threat: the primary one being a space-based Comet Blaster group and the secondary being a ground-based Meteor Sweeper group.


In the Shimoji island airbase is where the series most take place in the year 2024. The story resolves with 4 meteor sweeper girls who shoots large meteor fragments, that has failed to be destroyed by the comet blasters, from making an impact with planet Earth. All is going well until a large meteorite crashes into a lightly populated island leading the girls on a run to find out the truth about the comets.

This anime has 3 seasons which contains only 23 episodes plus their Original Video Animation. They have absolute one of the best animation that I have watched back in 2004 and even if I compare it to the anime that I have watched today, it still won't lose. Their opening song "1st Priority" is one of my favorite openings that I have heard and it brings back memories of my past. So I really recommend you to watch this anime. Its funny, interesting and sometimes it can get really serious with additional of fan service :P.
